I am happy to report I can now do French seams in my sleep and I conquered my fear of buttonholes. I made one of these gift bags a while back and over the last few days, I opened and closed the gift bag sweatshop. They really don’t take that long but I only sewed in short stretches. I had pillowcases to make too, you know.
They are far from perfect but they are perfectly done and that is what matters to me.
I had to Goolgle “French seam”….very classy. I need to try this on a curtain that is needing some love.
I just read that in France they call these English seams….too funny….beautiful outcome.
